McGrady will help whoever he plays for, but ask yourself this: what's Houston going to get back?

Tracy McGrady, if the gossip is true, will probably soon be on the move. 

While there is no way to know which team McGrady is going to land on one thing that seems certain is that Houston will be getting something back for him.  Even though McGrady's numbers have been on a decline in recent years as he has struggled with injury, he still has value in the trade market because he still has tremendous potential.

Houston Rocket fans and backers should be happy with recent developments.  The Rockets, without any significant help from McGrady so far this season, are not a bad team as they have compiled an 18-13 record and currently sit 7th in the Western Conference.  Going 18-13 might not seem threatening, but if the Rockets get a good player or two for McGrady then they will become more of a threat.

If a McGrady trade focuses on immediate help as opposed to longer termed considerations, the Rockets could become serious contenders for a top 4 seed in the Western Conference.

Currently the Rockets are +4000 (40/1; Boylesports) in the futures market, not for the NBA title, but just to win the Western Conference playoffs.

Our recommendation is to bet that price in the midst of all this gossip and hope that any trade or changes immediately improve the Rockets chances of success this season.
